* “Colour steel roof” option is using mini corrugated zincalume standard grey colour. Colour matching your home roof is sometimes possible.

** “Floor from” is using treated sawn timber as a floor covering, however Treated plywood for the floor is an option (recommend if using the shed for an office etc)

- Cedar shingles need a lot of wind exposure to dry out. They don’t achieve this on shallow roofs. This is why we don’t recommend Canadian cedar shingle on single sloping roof.

- Although the floor framing is suitably treated to be in contact with the ground (it won’t rot), we don’t recommend this because very soon a green algae growth will appear around the base - It doesn’t look good! A frequent water blast will restore the floor back to its original state. This option (putting the floor directly in contact with the ground) is available to you, however our recommendation is to install the floor on bearers secured to timber piles in a concrete footing. This gets the floor just off the ground being well air rated.
Click here for an example of a shed assembled on piles (best option) as described above.

- With the walls being 2000H (not 1800H, like many of our competitors) and the roof at 30 degrees (not 22.5 or 15 degrees) gives lots of useable space under the roof.

- We make any shape and size shed with even steeper roofs (45 degrees) with cedar shingles. (Same as most shingles on house roofs). Alternative roof cladding materials are ashphalt shingles on treated plywood, mini corrugated zincalume - which is a more competitive option but can be quite noisy when raining.

- Exact placement of doors and windows within the walls is your choice
